Band members Ryan Hall and Kathleen Down met through mutual friends while attending university in London.

Since their formation, Tainted Youth has mesmerised audiences with their distinctive blend of infectious melodies, pulsating beats, and ethereal vocals. Their music carries an infectious energy that hooks listeners from the very first note. With a unique sonic palette, they effortlessly traverse through catchy pop hooks, futuristic soundscapes, and thought-provoking lyrics.

Tainted Youth’s talent has already been recognized on various stages. Their electrifying performances have graced renowned venues, including London’s iconic Ministry of Sound nightclub.
In addition to their live prowess, Tainted Youth has gained recognition for their studio releases. Their single “Feel that way” garnered attention and secured them a nomination for “Song of the Year” at the Future Hits Music awards 2022. This recognition serves as a testament to their ability to create music that resonates deeply with listeners and pushes the boundaries of contemporary pop.

Band members Ryan Hall and Kathleen Down met through mutual friends while attending university in London.

Ryan was born in Scotland and moved to Brisbane, Australia when he was six years old. He then moved back to the UK in 2017 to go to university and pursue a career in production/engineering.

Kathleen was born and raised in San Francisco, California and moved to London in 2018 to study songwriting and subsequently pursue a career as a singer/songwriter.

Although coming from very different backgrounds, Kathleen and Ryan bonded over a mutual love of Electronic as well Heavy Metal records. These musical influences can be heard in Tainted Youth’s music through use of experimental production and heavy guitar riffs. The lyrical content focuses on defiance, personal empowerment, and declarations of dissatisfaction relating to the current political and social climate.
